'Incredible India'

'Incredible India' is the name of the official tour office at our hotel, and I have to agree with them. Delhi has so far been incredibly filthy, incredibly loud, and incredibly chaotic. But once your mind and body are able to get past that, you discover that the people are incredibly friendly, the colours are incredibly vibrant, and the food is incredibly delicious.

We arrived here with certain expectations, or, lack of expectations, and although we are out of our element, we are slowly adapting to our neighborhood and the way of life of the people that inhabit it.

We have found a place for our morning coffee (I can't let go of that habit), a local place to have a cold beer in air conditioning, overlooking the street - which, although smoking is not normal in establishments such as this, they invited us to have a cigarette with our beer by the toilets -, and a few places selling mouthwatering traditional Indian food.

People here are always willing to offer a smile, make you feel as comfortable as is possible (on the metro we were offered seats and I was looked out for by a few kind gentlemen who helped me get through the pushing, shoving mob), and genuinely seem to care that you are enjoying yourself in their country.

Delhi is a city like no other we have been to.

Our daily experiences (accompanied by photos) will follow......
